OK,
Someone has to know Oscar, Meyer, and Weiner. What were the colors?

Tony,
I remember grandpa had Oscar (I think he was yellow). When we lived there he got 2 more birds, and we named them Meyer and Wiener after the song fromt he commercial.

Yes, Paula,
Oscar, Meyer, and Weiner were canaries. One was yellow, one blue, and one pink (or maybe green.
One died while we lived there and they got another, that may be the confusion with the color of the birds. Do you remember when they escaped while Grandma was cleaning the cage? Grandpa went nuts chasing the birds around with a broom.

I do remember grandpa chasing the birds. I don't remember that one died though. I remember dad telling be that grandpa named Oscar after his friend Oscar Lynch

Paula,
You're right. Oscar was named after Grandpa's friend and we named the other two (there were more as one died and replaced) because of the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.
One was yellow, one blue, and one pink I think. I believe that they "escaped" more than once as I vaguely remember either Aunt Mae or Barbara and Pearl were there one time.
